The drought

When dark swamps dry out
Even orang-utans must
Have beer to chill out.

The rain

Week’s unstopped downpour
Orang-utans, young and old
Need a change of coat.

Rain forest

Strike stones to find way,
In the heart of Borneo
The sun’s just half way.

Forest fire

Fire----death’s victory:
Wild life, old tribes----gone like words
Spoken in fury.
